Bess Callard is an illustrator and graphic designer living in Edmonton, Alberta.
Her style is simple, light and modern. Bess draws inspiration and themes from the natural world and is passionate about the role of illustration and design in communication.
Bess enjoys working with a diverse clientele, from scientists and publishers, to small businesses, corporations and not-for-profit organizations around the world. Bess is the illustrator of FORÊT, a best-selling book written by Ariane Paré Le Gal and Gérald Le Gal, published by Les Éditions Cardinal in 2019.
Bess’ aesthetic has been shaped by the places she has lived; Toronto, Vienna, Montreal, Freiburg, and Edmonton. She is married to a brilliant scientist, with whom she has two adorable and adventurous little boys and a fluffy husky.
